I’m back with another layout using old products.
When I was pregnant with both my kids I kept a journal, with entries addressed to my baby. It was my way of documenting my pregnancy, not only for my benefit, but for my kids to read when they are older. I created a similar layout for my daughter’s baby album. The journaling was easy. I just typed and printed out a few entries that showed my thoughts and feelings. When I made the layout for my daughter, I included a photo where she was looking at me so intently as if to say, “So that’s what you look like.” I will admit we sort of staged the photo on this layout, to try to get the same set up with Nathaniel. It didn’t turn out the same, but it’s still one of my favourite photos of him before we left the hospital. Here’s my layout:
Here are each page individually:
I used my favourite paper pack, from that Idea Book, Splendor. You’ll see a few of the Stickese that matched, as well as some Kraft Borders, twill ribbon, and I did some stitching with flax. The “Dream” piece is also from CTMH, but I can’t remember the name of the package it came from. All of these items are retired, but I’m sure you have some hidden in your stash. 😉 The title was cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge.
I encourage you to dig into those products you loved when you bought them and use ’em up! They’ll still make you smile.
Happy Creating!
