Grandma’s Perfect Frame

It’s March Break!  It’s March Break!  It’s March Break!  Our March Break started this morning and I love the relaxed feel of our days.  Only down side is that I don’t have as much time to spend in my studio/office.  Grandma is coming to visit so that will help me get some work done.  But I’ve also been challenged to spend more time making memories with my kids, so we’ll see how much work I actually accomplish.  🙂  Speaking of Grandma …

I’ve shared a couple of Christmas gifts I made for my family members.  Today I’d like to share one more.  This is a frame I created for my mother-in-law.  Any Grandma loves photos of their family and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

I dove into my scraps and pulled out anything that matched the colours of my photo.  The flower I had already coloured, so I just trimmed it out.  It’s from the Love This stamp set.  I’ve used papers from Seaside, Snowhaven and Paper Fundamentals.  The washi tape is from my stash and the banner is made from retired waxy flax.  I added some sparkles and a flourish and I was done.  The frame I bought at Walmart.  I left the glass off.

I love how easy it is to dress up a photo and frame.  No need to just give a photo in a frame.  Use your supplies to make it extra special.  This would also make the perfect Mother’s Day gift.
