Hip Pics Family Album

I’m back.  I’ve been trying hard to post on a regular basis, but this past week threw that right out the window.  I got hit with a bad cold bug.  My pharmacist hubby says it was probably influenza.  It was NOT fun, made for a very different March Break than I had planned.  I’m still recovering, but I’m able to get some things done and I’m starting to catch up.  I had wanted to share this project I created for my parents for Christmas.

This Hip Pics kit was sold last October to December, although the album itself is still available.  I bet some of you still have this kit, that came with 4 sheets of die cuts and a stamp set, sitting in your stash.  Am I right?  I hope you’ll get some inspiration from seeing my pages.  I pretty much copied the sample pages that were pictured with the kit for the cover and the first few pages, but then went with my own ideas.  I used White Daisy ink, as well as Black, Sorbet, Lagoon, Outdoor Denim and Creme Brulee (now retired).  Here are the rest of the pages:

You’ll notice I didn’t add anything other than ink to this album, no other embellishments.  It helps to keep the album from getting too bulky.

I’ve gotten some questions about our photographer.  My brother hired Ash Nayler Photography for this session.  She did a fabulous job!  She’s in Peterborough, Ontario, but I’m pretty sure she is willing to travel a bit.  The photos were taken at a farm that my sister-in-law and nephew ride at.

I hope you get that little kit out and start creating.  Have fun!
