Cross Canada Blog Hop: Getting Ready for Christmas

posted in: Cards, Cricut | 8

We are just over a month away from Christmas!  Have you started your preparations?  I will be honest.  I haven’t really.  I’ve been busy with workshops and gatherings and other events, but very soon I’ll start.

Welcome to another Cross Canada Blog Hop, where we’ll be focusing on Christmas.  If you arrived here from Rosalynd’s blog, you’re on the right track.  If you’ve started here, just keep hopping until you get back and you’ll have gotten the chance to see it all.  If you’d like to literally hop across Canada, then start at Michelle’s blog, where there will also be a full list of participants.

Just yesterday, my Simply Creating team held our 5th Annual Christmas Card Extravaganza.  We invite all our customers and they get to create 20 cards.  If they sign up early enough, they also get to do a bonus project.  I had the privilege of designing that project.  Participants got to create two gift card holders.

I used the tree page from the White Pines paper pack, but to make each gift card holder unique, I stamped on top of the patterned paper.  All the paper was sponged in either Chocolate or Slate ink.  I love how that technique steps things up a notch and it’s so very easy to do!

The design for these holders came from I Stamped That!.

Now, hop on over to Carol’s blog to check out all the Christmas-y goodies still yet to come.  Don’t forget that if you see something you’d like to use to create your own projects, contact your CTMH consultant.
